To whom it may concern:
Hello. My name is James Springfield. Last month I was released from prison, and I am currently looking to use my skills and experiences to build a new career. I think I could provide a great service for RadioShack as an Enercell sales representative that visits prisons. This is hardly a market that most battery companies target, but my time in prison showed me what a great demand is hiding in this potential gold mine of a market.
In prison (I was in the Kentucky State Penitentiary- a beautiful property right along the lake), there was nothing you couldn’t accomplish with a sock full of batteries. Across the country, prisoners everywhere turn to socks and batteries to earn respect, defend themselves, fight political battles, and win the last snickers. For the country with the highest prison rate (quite a feat to beat states like Russia, China, and North Korea), this is a booming market of millions of Americans, all with a huge demand for batteries. Further more, with Trump and Jeff Sessions leading the charge, that number of potential customers has no where to go but up.
Unpleasant though it may be, there is no denying that millions of prisoners turn to socks and batteries. It is a simple truth. Since it will happen regardless of what we do, why not corner the prison market and take part in the profit-rich industry of incarceration in America?Another idea: possibly including a sock with each pack of batteries (sold in the quantity of one fistfull-that’s all you need). Perhaps this could be an upgrade once I have gotten our batteries in a great number of the prisons.I cannot wait to get started, and look forward to working together.
P.S. A few possible taglines:
-Do your battery with our battery.
-Lights on in a flashlight.Lights out in a sock!
-Earn your power with the power you can trust.
Thank you for your proposals. At this time RadioShack has just started restructuring the company while in bankruptcy protection. We have a way to go in order to bring on new talent. Hopefully, in the future, we may be able to add some much needed new features to our team. Please feel free to check back with us in the future.
