Guess which jokes were written by humans and which were written by machines!

This article is a collaboration between the Pitch App writing community and the Botnik collective. Botnik writers use generative technology to make jokes with a predictive text tool that draws upon massive reservoirs of words whereas Pitch has hundreds of comedy writers writing the old fashioned way.

For this experiment we had both groups write “Cooking Tips From A Malfunctioning Robot.” The only difference is that we didn’t tell the human Pitch writers that a robot was amongst them… We then had a Funny or Die editor pick their favorite jokes without knowing which were written by who.

So, here are 13 steps of a recipe. While they can all be enjoyed, if you wish to guess which were written by human and which by machine, we have stuck the answers below!


A Cooking Recipe From A Malfunctioning Robot

Step 1) Steam rice. Open meat. Disable the bones.

Step 2) Milk the water to taste - a little bone may be used instead.

Step 3) Make sure the water is nice and curly. Then put the flake on its neighbor. Beautiful.

Step 4) Pound chickens in a separate bowl until bubbles form.

Step 5) Pour the baby brown tuna onto the cake. Stir mix until of desired weight. Let pretty.

Step 6) Add ½ cup Chicken milk

Step 7) Add twice the meaning of flour

Step 8) Won’t you please develop a crush on all tomatoes

Step 9) Finger until 400°

Step 10) Hug oyster till dry. Drop in Jello. Vibrate until victory

Step 11) Brisket: Think of it just like making beef broth solid.

Step 13 - Dessert- ) Brown Watermelon Cake with Orange Cheese. Perfect for adults with jars of salt and degrees in baking. 2 teaspoons vegetable powder.
