“The _Max Headroom broadcast signal intrusion _was a television signal hijacking that occurred in Chicago, Illinois, United States on the evening of November 22, 1987… The intruder was successful in interrupting two broadcast television stations within the course of three hours. …[Their] identities were never found… The incident made national headlines.”
A distinguishing trademark of Max was his chaotic speech patterns spewing forth from his light weight bill— his terrifying speech would pitch up or down idiotically, or occasionally get stuck in a loop while the room would spin around him. His unique beak allowed him to reach deep into tree-holes to access food unavailable to other people without beaks, and also to ransack women’s purses, mailboxes and Ice Cream Trucks. Although impressive, his erratic actions and fervent bill do not harbor implications of sexual signaling, simply, he was made of fiberglass.
