Nine ( 9 ) - Clueless. Ok -- everyone has seen this movie. gay, straight, black, white -- even some asians. In the opening scene, if you caught yourself thinking, "holy shit, look at her closet how cool," instead of, "holy shit, Alicia Silverstone is in her underwear," then this should have been a tell-tale sign of homosexuality.
Eight ( 8 ) - The Hanson Brothers. In a strange twist of fate and irony, if you did not think they were hot back in the 90's, then it was still a sign that you were gay. Why? Because they looked like chicks.
Seven ( 7 ) - The Spice Girls. You wanted to be Posh. You wanted to be best friends with Baby. You tolerated Ginger. Scary was your homegirl. And Sporty scared they shit out of you - and for a few years - you thought she played for our team, too.
Six ( 6 ) - The Backstreet Boys. They were your role models. You thought - "hey, if I plan on staying in the closet my whole life, they are setting the perfect example of how to act."
Five ( 5 ) - Mighty Joe Young. You cried at the end of the movie -- and meant it.
Four ( 4 ) - Kurt Cobain. When you found out he shot himself in Seattle (I'm still convinced it was Courtney Love, but whatever), all you could think was that you would never find out if he was really bisexual or not.
Three ( 3 ) - Monica Lewinsky. You fell in love with this girl. It's an unspoken rule that American gay guys have the biggest whores as friends. Bonus points if they are cute!
Two ( 2 ) - Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Yeah, you were pissed. But, did you really want to serve in the military? The uniforms are too matchy-matchy.
One ( 1 ) - My So-Called Life. You were obsessed with the fact that a mainstream teenage drama had a gay main character (please note that Burt and Ernie do not count).
