When President Trump is criticized, one consistent, overarching theme is the allegation that he is lacks empathy, and is uncaring and heartless.
Well now we know that couldn’t be further from the case.
Back in July, Congress overwhelmingly passed sanctions against Russia for meddling in the 2016 Presidential Election, and Trump reluctantly signed them into law on August 2.
But the deadline to actually implement the sanctions on Russia’s defense and intelligence sectors was October 1, and Trump hasn’t taken any action yet, and has shown no intention of doing so any time soon.
So you may be wondering, why hasn’t he? Well, allow us to answer.
It’s because he doesn’t want to be mean! Duh!
If Trump enacted the sanctions, that would not be a nice thing to do at all. It would be very hurtful to Russia, and what kind of example would that set?
Didn’t our parents always teach us to treat others the way we wanted to be treated?
Yes, they did. And Trump and the entire country wouldn’t want Russia to put sanctions on us, so why should we put sanctions on them?!
Bet you never considered that, did you?
But Trump did.
That’s why, clearly, he is a good man, and a nice man, despite what you may hear in the media. He doesn’t want to be mean and hurt another country’s feelings, even one that supposedly “subverted our entire democratic process.”
People may be clamoring for Trump to “go low” and implement the sanctions, but that’s just not the type of guy he is. As the saying goes, when they go low, Trump goes high.
And that is kindness in action. Share this article if you agree we could all be a little nicer in our lives, just like our president!
