A sad fact of life is that some people don't understand that Idris Elbra would be the absolute perfect James Bond. But these tweets set those people straight.

Apparently we live in a world where some people think that Idris Elba isn’t the definition of perfect. Sure, people are allowed to have their opinions but there are some things that are right and some that are wrong. It’s not like we’re discussing cats or dogs here because no one can be allergic to Idris Elba and everyone, whether they realize it or not, is capable of bringing him into their home and loving him.

But Anthony Horowitz, the new author of the Bond novels, must not realize this. That must be why he told The Daily Mail thatIdris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”

It didn’t take long for Twitter to detect what Horowitz meant by saying “too street” (black) and let the writer know just how absolutely wack what he said was.

The second bone the masses have to pick is with the idiotic notion that Idris Elba isn’t suave. Hath ever a lie so grand been told?

All this talk about Idris Elba got people pretty excited about…Idris Elba. Frankly, it’s hard to stay angry when he’s what we’re talking about.

Of course, some people weren’t too quick to let Anthony Horowitz off the line, just because everyone else was daydreaming about Idris Elba.

Finally, to calm everyone down, someone had to make a good point about who should actually be playing Bond.
