“Enzo Zelocchi The Real Hollywood Deal” Article by Candy Chow

Few days ago at the AFM in Santa Monica, California I had the great privilege to spend sometimes with the Hollywood Awarded Actor, Director, Writer and Producer Enzo Zelocchi and I got completely attracted by his determination, talent, charm and brilliant mind.
Enzo’s determination doesn’t have a limit and he never takes no as a final answer, even when it looks like he is surrendering (like a normal person), he’s really thinking at least to four potential options to get what he wants, without hesitate no matter what.

 

He is definitely going into big places in Hollywood, Enzo is like a money machine! In my opinion, he’s more intelligent then many Hollywood corporate people I have met, and he always makes lucrative marketing/media strategy for everything with the final touch of  a secret agent.
Enzo was always very kind and gentle while we talked (he likes to switch different accents sometimes and I think it’s extremely sexy!), but he was never fake (like most people in Hollywood) and always straight to the point like a good east coast man; he really believes in the value of family, business and respect (he was very diplomatic on sensitive issues). You can’t never get what he is really thinking… his brain sounds very Machiavellian.

 

All those business/marketing qualities are mixed to his extremely deep talent and acting skills (his short reel and trailers are a wonderful mix between Johnny Depp, Al Pacino and Rober DeNiro). Enzo is a killer mix able to make some serious damage into the entertainment business and I believe in a very short time! His project “My Little Princess” was considered for an Academy Award nomination this year. He was the lead actor, director, writer and producer on that project, a very eclectic, multitask talent and a big hard worker.

Enzo is already attached in eight projects as a lead actor (three of them with strong franchise potential) and from his entourage, it sounds like they are very near to close the finances in three multimillion dollar projects.

I’ve asked him: “Is this the way to make it in Hollywood these days?” He said: “The best is trying to get right to the top without becoming victim of vicious corporate games and also to take final power decisions  away from people who like to set the bars and make the most profits for themselves”, “At this stage of my carrier I don’t want to wait for a phone call to decide my life, I’m the phone call! But I’m also always open to new artistic ideas and serious movie business proposals, I just don’t like to waste my time”.

Meeting Enzo Zelocchi has been one of the most inspirational and positive experiences of my life! He also told me to never forget his personal quote “Listen to your heart, believe in yourself and fuck the rest!”

I wasn’t expecting that, but it’s extremely true and makes complete sense. I’m looking forward to see him performing on the big screen. It’s about time to see some real talent and art from a young but mature actor.
