Last night Justin Bieber got treated to his very own Comedy Central roast, a time-honored tradition of poking fun at the ones you love that’s somehow fallen apart and frankensteined itself into a special television event where a bunch of celebrities and a couple of comedians say mean jokes about everyone in the room but mostly one person, in this case, pop star troublemaker Justin Bieber.
The team that roasted JB included musicians like Ludacris and Snoop Dogg, famed sport player Shaquille O’Neal, comedians like Kevin Hart, Hannibal Buress, Pete Davidson, and Natasha Leggero, craft queen Martha Stewart, and fictional newscaster Ron Burgundy. Below are several clips of some of the mean things they said at the roast.
First, roast host Kevin Hart said some mean things about a lot of people because that’s what roasts are all about (being mean).
And here’s a clip of Ludacris, who collaborated with Justin Bieber on the hit song “Baby,” saying some mean things to his former colleague:
Pete Davidson and Justin Bieber probably don’t run in the same social circles but they are the same age and that’s an interesting thing to think about when you watch this clip of Davidson saying some super mean things to Bieb!
Natasha Leggero said a thing so mean that Justin Bieber grabbed onto the armrests on his chair laughing. Now that’s mean!
Shaquille O’Neal, who has possibly met Justin Bieber before, said some mean things as well, because of course.
Martha Stewart said some mean things, too, to Kevin Hart, Shaq, and Ludacris. For some people, the edgy jokes might be the most important part of the clip, but for others it might be learning that Stewart and Shaq apparently talk on the phone all the time.
This clip of Hannibal Buress’ mean thing that he said employed the least amount of hate speech out of all the clips but still cuts deep. This one might be the best mean thing.
Since this special was recorded a while ago, many people already knew about the surprise appearance from Ron Burgundy, who took a while to get aware of his surroundings, but once he did, said some mean things (naturally) but also encouraged everyone in the room to take a look at themselves.
