When I was growing up back in the Philippines, I don't remember celebrating Father's day. When I came to the United States I found out why ~ it's a holiday promoted by the American greeting card industry! Well, when in Rome, do what Romans do . . .
The last time I celebrated Father's day with my dad was back in 2006. That was the last time were all together as a family before he went back to the Philippines and came back in our hearts.
I am curious to know, when you were a kid; what's the funniest thing you've done or given your father? As a father, what is the most memorable gift you've received from your kid(s) or even grand kids? Finally, what gift do you really want to get? (maybe your kid is reading this)
So, my dad never received funky looking ties nor ashtray that shaped like a dog. What he did get were hugs and kisses from his girls.
To all fathers out there, HAPPY DADDY's DAY!
