As the old saying goes, there are three certainties in life: death, taxes, and Chrissy Teigen killing it on Twitter.
In all seriousness, the model and co-host of Lip Sync Battle provides constant hilarity to her near-eight million followers, but her status as the queen of Twitter took a big hit on Wednesday, when Twitter’s test rollout of a 280-character tweet limit (double the usual 140) for many popular users didn’t include her.
At first, Teigen voiced her frustration in a playful manner.
But then her tone became more and more serious. Literally.
Teigen then issued an ominous warning.
Sure enough, she wasn’t messing around. When Twitter users tried using the website or app for the next hour, this is what they saw.
There’s shutting it down, and then there’s literally shutting it down, and Chrissy Teigen literally shut down Twitter. We’re not sure how, but she did.
That should teach Jack Dorsey and the rest of the Twitter team—or anyone, for that matter—not to wrong her again.
We’ve asked you before, but we’re going to ask you again. Chrissy, please, stop being so perfect. Save some perfection for the rest of us!
