In the midst of The Daily Show‘s coverage of racial injustice in the US, the show welcomed its newest contributor South African comedian Trevor Noah. For his first appearance on the show, Noah is super charming: he tells jokes, plays games, and even sings a song he and his friends in Africa were nice enough to write for the needy people of America.
The main highlight of Noah’s debut is “Spot the Africa,” a game in which Noah presents Jon Stewart with two photos and Stewart has to guess which one is Africa and which is the US. Not to give anything away, but Stewart finds this game very, very hard! Noah also congratulates America on achieving a wealth gap between white and black people that beats out the gap that existed in apartheid South Africa: “You did it without even trying!”
