Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, and more comedians stand up to cancer at the September 5th telecast event.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest actors, comedians, and musicians gathered on September 5th for the Stand Up To Cancer telecast to raise money for cancer research. Among the stars participating in the fundraising event — the organization’s fourth television special since it was founded in 2008 — was Will Ferrell, who appeared in a few segments in character as Anchorman‘s Ron Burgundy.

Here’s Ron Burgundy standing up to Cancer(s) … and Libras, and Pisces, and especially Geminis.

Later, with horoscopes still on the mind, Burgundy asks the question we’re all wondering: Which kinds of crabs are the Cancers, and are they the same ones he eats at restaurants sometimes?

The event had a lot of stars on stage and in video segments, but they were also placing phone calls to ask for donations to the fund, and by Sunday had raised more than $109 million.

The crew caught up with Josh Gad, who shared his experience calling people during the telethon.

Danny McBride also showed up toward the middle of the show for a PSA about SU2C, but was disappointed that all the lines with any substance were given to stars like Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon.

The long list of other funny people in the hour-long special includes Mike Myers, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Hamm, Anna Kendrick, Emma Stone, Steve Carell, and lots more. In case you missed it, the full show is available online, you can learn more about the exciting new immunotherapy treatment for cancer here, and you can make a donation at SU2C’s website.
