what to do with all the tough interview questions you get in a job interview

What follows are some of the "tougher" questions interviewers like to ask and some of their typical and "best" answers that will get you hired...

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?

TYPICAL: I would like to be in a gratifying and fulfilling positions that will provide me with challenging and unique ways to show my talent
BEST : Alive....hopefully.

Q: Why should we hire you?

TYPICAL: Because I've researched your company and feel that I would be the best candidate based on what your company does and where it's position is in the marketplace currently.
BEST: Sir, because then I won't tell anyone about the pictures I saw on the internet with you in high heels and the purple boa.

Q: If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

TYPICAL: I think it would be great to be a spruce tree so that I could work in this company to reach new heights for me and my career.
BEST: ANYTHING but the one that you are because you're obviously "out of your..."

Q: What do you feel would be your strongest shortcoming?

TYPICAL: I like to deliver a quality product which reflects not only my time but the essence of who I am as a person.
BEST: Putting up with morons. How close will I be sitting to you?

Q: How would you react if I told you that your interview, so far, was TERRIBLE?

TYPICAL: I understand that you may be trying to understand my response to direct criticism. I feel that there are many types of people in the world today and it's important to try to understand how best to work with each one while ensuring quality customer service.
BEST: The same as if I had called you a "pigeon-toed knock-kneed piece of white trash with less intelligence than a can of spit".
